I HATE....

That's right bloggers, Mice. Princess Piglet, the great mouser (she has 1 to her credit), went to summer camp at the beach for the last 9 days. Apparantly her absence was noted by the vermin in the area. When I went into the pantry this afternoon, I noticed some droppings and something had eaten its way through a bag of bread mix. After I finished screaming, cleaning up the mess, and putting out traps- it occurred to me that I have not seen hide nor hair of mouse since Princess P came to live with me, 3 years ago. The landlord has had a lot of cosmetic work done to the house and there is a lot of construction going on in the area. Clearly the saying is true- "When the Cat's away, the mice will play".

Beware mice, the great mouser is back in residence....

She DOES have her work cut out for her!

Our sweet cat, who passed away at 13 this past April, was such a good mouser in her days. But the past two years, I swear the mice would come out and laugh at her!

Poor mice...just looking for a quick bite. I don't really care for them either....but I have NEVER had them come into my home.
I have 3 cats...I am sure they would love to "play" with some mice.

Look at those eyes!
You know what? I think you should play Vanilla Ice "Ice Ice Baby"... but change the lyrics to "Mice Mice Baby"... wouldn't that be PERFECT???

LOL. :-)

Our dear departed cat Midnight was SUCH the hunter. I sort of miss the mice, moles and lizards she would leave on the front porch every morning. (I tell you what - that cat had a THING for moles....)

My nickname for Midnight was "mouse-breath". :-)
