Mike's Birthday

Thursday was Mike's birthday. He celebrated by an appointment with the surgeon for a follow up. I celebrated by making dinner and a pecan pie. I was unsure of what to get him for his birthday because he gave me no ideas. Left to my own devices, I gave him: tickets to see the Lion K1ng in NYC in september, two xb0x games, and dinner at Emeril Lagasse's Chop House restaurant on sunday.

He LOVED it all and spent 12 hours playing the one video game on saturday night. Thursday was a long day and we did not get home until almost 8:30pm. I made the pecan pie and let it cook while we watched S0 Y0u Think Y0u Can Dance. Sunday, we went to Emeril Lagasse's Chop House and, let me tell you, IT WAS AWESOME!!!! I wish I had brought my camera with me to take a picture of all the fabulous food. It was a little expensive but well worth it. Emeril, we will be back :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Mike! It sounds like your intuition guided you very well on the gifts.
I'm so excited that you ordered the shirts from Team Unite! I'd LOVE to see photos when your camera is working again. Thank you for supporting awareness! You definitely DO ROCK!

Egads! Sometimes I just HATE Blogger!!! I read your comment and came over to see if you'd posted anything since Mike's birthday post. Saw that it still remains on his birthday post. Decided to comment again anyway. Only to discover that my original comment on this post isn't here! WTF? Where did it go?! I KNOW I commented here because he has the same birthday and I thought that was so cool! Grrrr.

Ah well, just wanted to stop by and say that I'm so sorry I didn't think to touch base. Trust me, I am one of those bloggers who does like to meet her bloggy friends. Our trip was so fast and in the midst of work madness that it was all I could do to even get us packed and ready to go. It would have been really great to see you and Mike in Maryland. Trust me, we go out there often. We love Navy games. I'll be sure to let you know next year. Do you think Helen & Mary Beth would like to come too? Bring the kitties!!!

:-) How is everything going out in PA with PPoP and Mike Da Man? Deets please!
